This shop has been elusive. So many times we have pull in to the parking lot and the shop is closed. It’s not their fault! We seem to always hit this area in the later afternoon. We were lucky on our July trip that we made it before 3:30, thanks to a rainy day and lackluster finds coming down the coast. It’s a nice stop. Small but the set-up is well thought out. My favorite thing about this shop is that it has a room dedicated to Christmas! When we stopped by they also had a good assortment of Longaberger for sale. They also have clothing, kitchenware, jewelry, some albums, and more. Here is the crazy thing – I could never quite figure out this shop. Was it privately owned? It had quite a few employees for a privtaely owned shop. It definitely wasn’t a co-op. It wasn’t until I checked out its FB page for this blog that I found out it is a Church Thrift Shop. I’m sure they had some signage but nothing I noted. Since we love Church shops we are excited to share this thrift destination. The Ditty Box shop, 166 Post Road (Rte. 1), Moody, ME. A major fundraiser for the Congregational Church of Wells, ME.
Plentiful parking in the building’s lot. Open Tues. - Sat. 10:30 - 3:30.
No public bathroom but in an area where there are bathrooms available at Dunkin Donuts or McDonalds. https://www.facebook.com/dittyboxthriftshop
