A Dollar Will Do

Everything in this tiny but mighty shop is $1. Sounds like a bargain right? Well they sometimes beat that deal with fill a bag for $5 special days! We discovered this shop in summer 2020 and good for them (but not for us) it’s popularity has increased every year. So much so that when we stopped by on a recent Saturday there was barely room to move inside. Run by the Baptist Church it is located at 36 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton, NH (right off of RT 1 after The Galley Hatch restaurant). They have all the usual items – clothing, shoes, kitchenware, jewelry, and books. They also have a small toy area. No appliances or furniture. The kitchenware area has had some great vintage linens finds for me and I’ve been lucky finding barely worn shoes. Folks I thrift with have had no problem filling a bag for $5. If you are in the area stop by to see what treasures you might find. Open Mon and Sat 9-1 PM. The best part of a visit here isn’t the cheap prices it’s the gentleman running the check out who always has a happy greeting and a story and makes sure you leave with a smile.

Bring cash although there is a bank across the street if you forget. Easy parking onsite.
